The New Jersey Gaming Enforcement Agency (DGE) has issued a caution to internet gambling operators after discovering that some were providing reverse withdrawal incentives to players.

The DGE has received numerous complaints from consumers who have had to wait as long as two weeks for their withdrawals to be processed.

In a declaration, DGE Director David Rebuck stated that some delays may be due to investigations into possible fraud, identity theft, or money laundering.

However, he added that the volume of complaints prompted the regulatory body to review licensees’ withdrawal procedures to ensure that player protection and responsible gambling concerns are balanced with the right of customers to access their funds.
