From Affili8 to iGaming Agency: UK Startup Rebrands for Clarity in the Gaming Market

A gaming startup headquartered in the UK, Affili8, has opted for a name change to iGaming Agency (iGA). This, however, places it in close proximity to the India Gaming Association (IGA) from a branding perspective.

iGA anticipates reaching its year-two revenue goal of £500,000 (US$604,000) having secured agreements with various industry players.

Established in 2020 in Stockton-on-Tees by Chris O’Rourke, Richard Paget, and Chris Sutherland, the recently rebranded iGA has inked numerous agreements in recent months, furnishing clients with SEO, paid search, social media marketing, affiliate marketing, and content creation solutions.

Commenting on iGA’s rebranding and accomplishments, company co-founder Chris O’Rourke stated: “Our original objective was to develop an affiliate network within the gambling sector to promote casinos and sportsbooks, but market dynamics led us to undertake a significant amount of consulting work.

As we began pursuing this path, the name Affili8 was creating uncertainty among prospective clients, as they didn’t anticipate us offering SEO and other services.”

O’Rourke added: “iGaming Agency as a business name is a brand that ‘clearly reflects its purpose’ and distinguishes our primary area of proficiency. We are currently operational in 16 countries, and we are pleased that our diligence and dedication have yielded results in such a short period.”

This UK-based new business decided a brand update was critical, but if “iGaming Agency” will make them distinct or simply increase the clutter in the already saturated British market is yet to be determined.
