The governing body for professional soccer in Australia, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), has renewed its global media rights agreement with IMG for a multi-year period. This broadened collaboration seeks to further elevate the viewership and financial prosperity of both the premier men’s and women’s leagues in Australia. IMG will maintain its responsibility for managing and distributing media rights for the APL beyond Australia and New Zealand. This encompasses supplying official data to more than 460 authorized sports wagering entities globally via IMG Arena.
APL Chief Executive Officer Nick Garcia conveyed enthusiasm regarding the agreement, underscoring the expansion potential of Australian soccer and the significance of IMG’s proficiency and worldwide reach. He emphasized the leagues’ contribution to cultivating national team standouts and emerging talent, assuring supporters of even more captivating contests and narratives with the incorporation of new clubs in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
IMGs high-ranking official, Dale Levin, conveyed contentment with the firm’s robust collaboration with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). He emphasized their role in the A-League’s impressive expansion over the preceding six years.
Separately, FanDuel recently incorporated IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre into its sports wagering platform. This alliance will enable FanDuel users to place wagers on active markets throughout PGA Tour competitions.
