A prominent sports wagering media conglomerate, Better Collective, has solidified its presence in the Swedish market through the purchase of four well-known sports media entities – SvenskaFans.com, HockeySverige.se, Fotbolldirekt.se, and Innebandymagazinet.se – from the Everysport Group. These platforms collectively reach 900,000 Swedish sports aficionados each month. This calculated maneuver, valued at €3.7 million (roughly $4 million), aligns with Better Collective’s ambition to become a leading force in the digital sports media realm. The procurement will be financed by existing funds and is projected to be finalized in three phases. Jesper Søgaard, Chief Executive Officer of Better Collective, highlighted the importance of this acquisition, noting that it dovetails seamlessly with their objective to be the preferred collaborator for companies seeking to engage with sports devotees. He anticipates that these media channels will bolster Better Collective’s partner marketing endeavors and unlock new promotional avenues within the Swedish market.

Everysport’s Chief Executive, Hannes Andersson, conveyed significant satisfaction in the company’s accomplishment, emphasizing their objective of transforming these platforms into the premier sports information outlets in Sweden. He views the purchase as a demonstration of Everysport’s technological advancement and operational skills, harmonizing seamlessly with the brand’s and the collective’s trajectory.

This action follows closely on the heels of Better Collective’s latest designation of René Schrøder as Lead Editor, indicating their aspiration to broaden their sports content impact throughout Europe.
